- Hold It Mate rails connect to virtually any vertical spindled railing system. Wrought Iron, Aluminum, wood, Trex, round, square or twisted. By connecting the 2 metal bars on opposite sides of the spindles and tightening with the included allen wrench, Hold It Mate becomes part of your railing. This system will hold up to 15 lbs, more than enough for potted plants, bird feeders, chimes, lanterns, etc. It comes with 3 different length bolts to ensure the system will work with spindles of all thicknesses between 1/2" and 1 1/2" and will fit railings that are built to code, which is usually about a 4" gap between the spindles. Hold It Mate will fit up to a 5" gap. This kit includes a 6" Hold It Mate rail and all the hardware needed to install and the 15" extension hook. Connect anywhere you like on your railing. Up high, or down low - whatever looks best for your deck and design! It truly is as easy as 1-2-3! There is nothing like Hold It Mate and it is Patent Pending.
