- The Portable Painter is a hands-free watercolor palette with two removable water containers, two foldable pallet areas and space for 12 half pans that can be safely folded and stored in a pocket, handbag or bag. It comes with a double pointed synthetic brush whose finer end can be reversed and safely stored in the handle. When unfolded, the Portable Painter stands upright on its two water pots that provide balance and a low centre of gravity. It can be placed on any flat surface or placed with a water pot on both sides of the painter's knee. Once you're done painting, the water containers transform into an outer sleeve that is firm and ready for travel. When stored in this way, it is about the size of a large smartphone, although it is slightly thicker (3 cm). The Portable Painter comes with twelve empty half pans. You can replace them with half pans from brands such as Winsor & Newton, whose half pans fit very tightly. We recommend you build your own palette by filling the empty half pans with liquid watercolors from a tube.

When the palette is open and in use, the clasp can be stowed under the included silicone band. The band can also hold additional brushes and pens It’s ideal for use with watercolors or gouache
