Sobre este producto
  • Not too small, not too big The No7 is the perfect for those who feel that the No6 could be a little larger. The "In-between" Size of the No7 classifies this knife as neither small or big. Knives Made in France since its creation in 1890, The company has been manufacturing its knives in the heart of the French Alps. Today Our plant in chambray (savior, France) covers a surface area of almost 60, 000 square-feet and employs 110 people, of which 60 work directly in production. All our products (traditional pocket-knives with carbon steel and stainless steel blades, specialist pocket-knives, sharp slim pocket-knives, garden tools, elegant table knives, etc. ) are entirely manufactured in our factory in chambray. Except for the kitchen knives and table knives, the molds and cutting tools have been developed by Opine and wooden handles are made in chambray. These different components are then assembled and sharpened in our plant in Portugal.

JUST THE RIGHT SIZE: The No.07 is slightly smaller than the infamous No.08, but a bit bigger than the handy No.06. Often herald as the "perfect picnic knife", the No.07 slices through cheese and fruits with ease. PATENTED VIROBLOC: A Hallmark of Opinel everyday carry knives since it’s invention in 1955, the Virobloc ring offers a unique, thoughtful, and easy to use safety mechanism for locking the blade during use, during transport, and during storage. INOX BLADE: We use Sandvik 12C27 Modified Stainless Steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Carbon content of at least 0.40% provides an excellent cutting edge and is easily sharpened. THE CROWNED HAND: In 1565 King Charles IX commanded every knife maker to stamp an emblem on their products to guarantee their origin and quality. In 1909 in order to honor this tradition Joseph Opinel chose the Crowned Hand as his emblem. AN ICON OF FRENCH CULTURE: Produced in the heart of the French Alps since 1890, Opinel knives draw simplicity and durability from their mountain roots. Opinel kitchen knives have been adopted worldwide and recognized as a design icon.
