Starting with a moderate downturn and slight asymmetry, SCARPA gave these shoes a microsuede upper to limit stretch, mitigating the need for uncomfortable downsizing. Next, they added in a Flexan midsole, which, when combined with the stiff Vibram XS Edge rubber, gives you a shoe that can stand on thin edges without shying away from the occasional smear along the way. Rounded out with SCARPA’s patented Bi-Tension Rand, which offers you precision without the usual foot-pain that comes with it, the Vapor V has everything you need to climb hard without taking your shoes off between burns.
