If you are starters, we suggest you set it at 3 which will give you legit casting performance without backlash. Phantom X casting reels give you legit 18lbs drag power to chase the big fish with 4-disc carbon fiber drag washers and Japanese Hamai CNC brass drive gear. Extended 115mm/4.53in carbon handle provides perfect leverage. Positive click tension knob makes you have accurate and precision setting according to lure weight on your Phantom X baitcasters.
