- The rare Green Babaulti Shrimp is a beautiful, bright green color. They look especially great against dark substrate or aquatic plants. Dwarf shrimp help to keep tanks clear.
- Since this shrimp is a Caridina species, it will not interbreed with Neocaridina shrimp. They do best in remineralized reverse osmosis water (RO water). An aquarium pump is a must for ALL dwarf shrimp!
- Dwarf shrimp are very small and are not safe in aquariums with medium to large-sized fish. Please research dwarf shrimp before purchasing to ensure compatibility with your tank's inhabitants.
- Similar to Neocaridina shrimp, these will readily breed in most customer tanks! Their diet can be supplemented with various brands of shrimp or fish food, flakes and powder, etc.
- All Aquatic Arts brand plants and animals come with a 100% live arrival guarantee, plus free email support!

Green Babaulti Shrimp (Caridina cf. babaulti) are very rare in the United States and one of the most beautiful dwarf shrimp types available. Their stunning green coloration makes them stand out magnificently against any tank backgrounds, aquarium substrate, and tank decorations. Until recently, these shrimp have been very difficult to find, and we are thrilled to be one of the few North American retailers able to offer them! Most available specimens are wild-caught and inconsistent in coloration, most likely due to misidentification and a lack of scientific research of this relatively new species. We proudly offer tank-raised specimens, virtually all of which are bright green! Green Babaulti Shrimp will breed in the home aquarium! Their fry are smaller and grow more slowly than many other shrimp species, so this species requires a mature, dedicated dwarf shrimp aquarium for successful rearing. There are conflicting opinions about whether the Green Babaulti Shrimp will breed more easily in softer or harder water, but there seems to be a growing consensus that they will breed in either as long as extreme conditions are avoided. All dwarf shrimp prefer to live in tanks with aquarium plants (such as java moss, green cabomba, etc.) or decorations that provide cover, such as driftwood or a branch, a hut or cave, a wooden stump, or PVC tubing that provides a tunnel in which to play. These are compatible with other shrimp, most snails, small size fish that are not aggressive (such as Guppies, Danios, Hatchet Fish, etc.), and some crabs, such as Micro Thai Crabs (Limnopilos naiyanetri), aka False Spider Crabs.
