Using just a smart outlet will not work, you must add a relay circuit to be able to use your voice to control the fireplace. This is the circuit you need. Use your voice to Turn on and off your fireplace via Google Home or Amazon ALEXA. Works will all compatible smart outlets (not included) Relay switch with 4 connectors included Power Adapter included Micro USB Cable is included smart outlets To use the relay switch, you need to plug the connectors from the relay circuit into the connectors under your fire place. All our circuits are tested before shipping. Detailed instructions as well in the images. Under your fireplace, find the wire that connects to your wall switch usually a white wire You will find wire connectors where you can pull the connection apart and disconnect it Connect the 4 connectors to the newly disconnected connectors. Peal off the sticky tape and secure under fireplace. The circuit is now ready for power. You will need to put your smart outlet into the power outlet (make sure your outlet has power) turn smart outlet off. Plug in the 5 volt USB power adapter. Plug in the USB cable into the USB adapter and then connect the micro USB connection to the relay circuit.
