- This 9pc Barrel Trimming Sleeve Set gives you the ability to trim and square the most popular pen kit tube sizes using either a 7mm Barrel Trimmer, or a Pen Blank Squaring Jig. Slide the sleeve on the shaft of the barrel trimmer or jig, and then slide the sleeved shaft into the tube to get a a 90 degree squared blank. Sleeves are 2-1/2" long; Also includes storage case and instructions. Will accommodate the following tube sizes: 8mm, 11/32", 3/8", 10mm, 25/64", 10.5mm, 27/64", 15/32", 31/64", 12.5mm, 33/64", 9/16", 37/64"; Some sleeve sizes will work with multiple tube sizes. Barrel trimming and squaring is an essential step in penturning projects to ensure a proper fit between the pen kit hardware parts and the turned blank.
