- PYREX GRIFFIN BOROCILICATE GLASS BEAKER -- MADE from Type 1, Class A low expansion borosilicate glass, PYREX scientific glassware has become the accepted standard in chemistry labs across the globe. THIS low form graduated borosilicate glass beaker with spout is manufactured with uniform wall thickness and a flat, even base, making it ideal for heating by hot plate, flame, oven, microwave or heating mantles. The beaker measuring cup’s glass construction offers optimum balance between thermal shock resistance and mechanical strength, and can be heated many times to 230°C and cooled to -230°C. THE borosilicate glass beaker is chemically resistant to most acids, alkalis and solvents, and the glass measuring beaker’s robust rim profile prevents cracking or chipping, with a well-formed spout to prevent drips and spillages. THE ideal chemical and heat resistant chemistry glassware for use in laboratories or for home and classroom science experiments, this range of PYREX low expansion borosilicate glass beakers are available in sizes from 50mL - 3L capacity. For convenience, the 250 through 3000mL glass beakers have a double graduated metric scale to indicate approximate content. All sizes of beaker have an extra-large marking spot and are easy to clean or sterilize in autoclaves up to 121°C at 15 psi for 15 minutes.
