10 piece 1/2" (12.7mm) X 1/2" (12.7mm) Rubber Mandrels; used to hold sand drum or sand band; 1/8" (3.175mm) shank size for Dremel and other Rotary Tools
BEST PRACTICES: 1) Adjusting the screw at the top of the mandrel will loosen or tighten the sand drum. Make sure the sand drum is held tight to the mandrel before use. 2) During use, periodically power down the rotary tool to check the sand drum. Ensure that there is sufficient grit remaining on the band before continuing.
3) Rotary tools can operate at very high RPM. High RPM with a small tool such as a sanding drum produces a lot of friction and heat build up. Ensure that your sand drum and mandrel is not getting too hot. Consider using medium speed and alternating mandrels as you change sand drums out to reduce heat build up. 4) Rotary tools are power tools. Always consider appropriate eyewear and other PPE to suit your task.
