Designed with educators in mind, every quality component will support an unforgettable classroom experience. Once caterpillars are transferred to the 2oz cups, each student will watch the day-to-day development and transformation of their very own caterpillar. Kids immediately observe the early stages of metamorphosis, watching caterpillars eat, grow, and prepare for their transformation. Over the course of about three weeks, the caterpillars form chrysalides, and with patience and care, emerge as vibrant butterflies ready to be released into the world. Along the way, children gain a deeper understanding of life science, responsibility, and the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem. Many educators plan butterfly release parties, schedule around back-to-school nights, or create other meaningful events when the butterflies emerge!
