- This exposition on Igogo festival was borne out of the author’s quest to contribute to knowledge. It was first put together in 2012 as a term paper towards meeting one of the requirements for the award of MCA. In 2018, Oladimeji became the producer of Sunshine Plus, a flagship TV Magazine pro gramme of the Ondo State Ministry of In formation and Orientation. In the course of packaging the sights and sounds of the 2017 edition of Igogo festival for airing on TV, the need to update this work to reflect current realities in the ancient town of Owo became imperative. Interestingly, 2019 marked the 1000th year of existence of Owo community. The ancient town was agog as innovations were lined up for the millennial celebration which coin cided with the installation and crowning of a new Olowo. Ever since, the work has kept expanding. This would go a long way in promoting the rich cultural heritage of Owo community but also the great tourism potentials of Ondo state.
