These are fine quality tools at the lowest cost of any major brand. These tools are skillfully handcrafted with features not found on others. Blade hand-forged from high carbon tool steel expertly hardened to Rc 58-62, rust-resistant varnish coated. Edges pre-sharpened to 22°-degree angle, ideal for most carving. Forged “socket” traps birch wood handle fibers and prevent splitting. All tools have straight shanks. Chisels and gouges are fishtail style for maneuverability. Chisel double beveled, V-tool feature reverse rakes for better cross and end grain carving creates a true V (bottom not rounded). Features durable, socket style birch wood handles. Sets typically include: #1-12mm chisel, #41-6mm 60° V-Tool and the following gouges: #3-6mm, #3-12mm, #5-6mm, #5-12mm, #7-12mm, #9-3mm, #10-6mm, #10-10mm plus Heavy Duty Canvas Cloth Tool Roll.
