So be sure to read the instructions. Because this kit is much more than a child proof lock, it can be used in any situation where there is a need to keep doors secured. These plates can be applied to any refrigerator/freezer door, medicine cabinet, tool chest, printer tray, single file cabinet drawer, and most any 'openable' fixture to restrict access (cannot be adhered to painted or laminated wood). Helps comply with HIPAA and other privacy law requirements.Ideal application temperature range is 70°F to 100°F, but once properly applied will withstand lower temperatures. Cable arms are removable when refrigerator does not need to be locked for a period of time.Kit includes: Four 2.5"x 3" highly durable, crush resistant black resin plates with 3M's best VHB adhesive tape Four cable arms made of 3/16 steel aircraft cable with black vinyl coated to 5/16" - long cable arm is 6 1/8" long and extends 4 from edge of plate and short cable arm is 3 5/8 long and extends 2 from edge of plate Other kits available with keyed padlock.
