Fritz Willis, who wrote and illustrated the original 1945 hardcover, was a master artist whose work spanned many genres. He wrote at least 3 other children's books and also created illustrations for Hollywood and the advertising industry. Everything from the original 1945 hardcover is reproduced in this paperback, including the inner jacket front and back flaps.
