Includes PENN Battle III Spinning Reel, made with sturdy all-aluminum body and sideplates, with 7.0:1 gear ratio capable of recovering 43” per crank turn. Also includes PENN Squadron III 9' surf spinning rod with 12-20lb line rating and medium power. Reel features HT-100 carbon fiber drag system with max drag of 15lb to handle large fish. Equipped with superline spool to securely attach braided line up to 410/15 capacity. Rod features graphite composite 2-piece blank that is lightweight and sensitive. Stainless steel guides protect lines in fresh and saltwater. Reel has 6 total bearings including 5 stainless steel ball bearings and 1 instant anti-reverse bearing for smooth operation. Rod handle uses EVA grips and rubber shrink tube for comfort and staying power while fighting fish.
