This is the Demonfx GLADIATOR DOUBLE PREAMP Inspired by the Cornerstone Gladio Double Preamp The Gladiator is a preamp/overdrive with two independent channels with different voicings for a lot of versatility. CHANNEL 1: Smooth, edgy and transparent with a comp switch to allow more versatility over the dynamic range CHANNEL 2: Hard clipped, creamy and Fat with a switch called JAZZ/ROCK to choose from mellow or brighter tones. The Gladiator is further equipped with a toggle switch to choose between the two different switching modes. “S” which stands for “SINGLE” and “D” which stands for “DOUBLE”. In Single mode you can use only one channel at a time. Very useful to switch between one sound or another in a live situation. In Double mode,you can stack these two channels to create a powerful response. Lower gain settings give you close to break up tones with a clear and immediate attack. There’s smooth soft clipping, sustain and an amp-like touch response. Up the gain a bit you can achieve some biting lead tones that rise from the mix. Flip the ‘comp’ switch if you’re seeking lower headroom and a smoother ride. The ‘jazz/rock’ switch changes the midrange voice, with the rock position particularly excelling for American-voiced slide that verges on fuzz. Switch to double mode and stack both drives to transform a small combo amp that will seem much bigger than it's actual size. Specs : True-bypass switching Dual overdrive pedal.
