- Cataclean is a patented, EPA-approved engine, fuel, and exhaust system cleaner formulated to help reduce carbon build-up throughout key diesel engine components, including oxygen sensors, fuel injectors, combustion components, the EGR valve, catalytic converter, and diesel particulate filter (DPF). Cataclean does not alter fuel composition and is safe for diesel engines when used as directed. Cataclean can be used to help address common driveability concerns such as power loss, hesitation, rough running, and hard starts. It may also be used as a pre-treatment prior to emissions testing or as part of routine maintenance to help support normal diesel engine and emissions system operation. Use up to four times per year to help maintain engine performance and emissions system efficiency. In cases of severe restriction or mechanical issues, results may be limited; however, regular use may help maintain cleaner system conditions and support catalytic converter and DPF operation over time. Independent emissions testing has indicated Cataclean may help reduce emissions under certain conditions. Results will vary depending on vehicle condition, maintenance history, and driving habits.
