- [ NOTE ]: Before performing the test, please make sure that your tester is properly connected. Connect the red clip to the positive terminal of the car battery. Then connect the black clip to the negative terminal of the car battery. During the continuity test, the auxiliary ground wire needs to be connected to one side of the wire under test. When testing components in/out of the vehicle's electrical system, connect the auxiliary ground wire to the negative pole of the component under test.
